Pactus Introduces Validator Delegation — Now Live

We are excited to announce that validator delegation is now live on the Pactus network, following the activation of PIP-49, in latest version, Pactus Tallinn.

There has been strong interest from validators across the ecosystem, especially from those who are not yet part of Pactus but are eager to participate.

At the same time, we recognize that current market conditions and uncertainty can make it difficult to acquire PAC tokens and join the network.

To address this challenge and lower the barrier to entry, we have introduced validator delegation.

What Is Validator Delegation?

Validator delegation allows PAC holders to delegate their tokens to validator operators. This enables validators to participate in block production and earn rewards without needing to purchase tokens upfront.

This mechanism benefits both token holders and validators:

• Token holders can earn rewards by delegating their stake
• Validators can join and operate without initial capital requirements

Special Opportunity for New Validators

As part of this rollout, we are offering a limited opportunity specifically for validators who are not yet part of the Pactus network, including those already operating on other blockchain networks.

Selected participants will receive:

• Up to 16,000 PAC in delegated stake
• Distributed across your validators (1,000 PAC each)
• No cost to receive this delegation

Rewards Structure

Validators participating through this program will:

• Earn 50% of the block rewards (0.5 PAC per block)
• Receive all rewards directly to their own wallet
• Maintain full control over their reward addresses

Lightweight Infrastructure Requirements

Running a Pactus validator is intentionally simple and efficient:

• Requires only 1–2 CPU cores
• Can run on a shared server
• No dedicated hardware or complex infrastructure needed

This makes it easy for experienced validators to integrate Pactus into their existing operations.

• Expand validator participation
• Improve decentralization
• Distribute stake more broadly across the network
