February in Review

February brought a significant update to Pactus with the release of v1.12.0 (Zürich), introducing remote node management capabilities that make running validators more accessible than ever.

Zürich Released: Remote Node Management

On February 21, Pactus v1.12.0 (Zürich) launched with a game-changing feature: remote GUI node management.

You can now connect, monitor, and manage your Pactus node remotely through the graphical interface. No more relying solely on command-line tools or SSH access. Point your GUI at any remote node and control everything visually.

This is especially useful for validators running nodes on cloud servers or remote hardware. You get the security and reliability of a remote setup with the convenience of local GUI management.

Download Zürich if you haven’t upgraded yet.

Network Health

5,455 validators are currently securing the network according to the block explorer - steady growth from January’s ~5,200.

18.5 million+ transactions have been processed on Pactus since mainnet launch. The network continues operating smoothly with consistent ~10 second block times.

Zürich adoption has been smooth. No major issues reported post-release, and validators have been upgrading steadily throughout the month.

What Happened in Crypto

February was relatively calm in the broader crypto market, but a few things stood out:

Regulatory developments progressed in several jurisdictions. The EU’s MiCA framework effects became more visible, and the US provided additional guidance on digital asset classification. Clearer rules make it easier for legitimate projects to operate.

Bitcoin network continues showing strength. Mining difficulty hit new all-time highs again, proving that regardless of price action, the underlying infrastructure keeps growing stronger.

Market stability was the theme. No wild pumps or catastrophic crashes - just steady price action while developers kept building. Boring markets are often the healthiest ones for actual technological progress.

Business Development

We’re still seeking experienced contributors in business development and strategic partnerships. The focus is on finding people who understand long-term value creation and can help navigate crypto markets intelligently.

If you have connections in VC, institutional partnerships, or business strategy and believe in what Pactus is building, reach out.

Community Contributions

Thank you to everyone who:

  • Contributed to documentation and translations

Every contribution moves Pactus forward.

Closing Thoughts

February was about delivering useful features that make Pactus more accessible. Remote node management isn’t flashy, but it’s exactly the kind of practical improvement that helps real people run validators more easily.

No hype. No overpromises. Just consistent progress on making blockchain infrastructure that actually works for everyday users.

Some months have big announcements. Some months have solid execution. February was solid execution, and that’s exactly what builds lasting infrastructure.
